Turning a medium that once reached millions, into personal letters of gratitude.
As CoVID-19 hit New York City and millions went into lockdown, the Ad Council turned digital out-of-home space into personal letters of gratitude for essential workers, the only people who were still out there on the street. They were #OutThereForUs. People could deliver messages of appreciation directly to these workers via Twitter. Then their messages appeared on repurposed, donated media space, located where essential workers would see.
